National School-Based Health Care Convention
Washington D.C.

Above: Advocates Rally for School-Based Health Care
On June 29, 2007, California school health center supporters and
CHSC staff attended the NASBHC (National Assembly on School-Based
Health Care) annual conference in Washington D.C. NASBHC and its
ardent supporters celebrated Advocacy Day, held in conjunction with
the 2007 National School-Based Health Care Convention.  NASBHC
hosted a celebratory rally, featuring speakers renowned in the field.
Galvanized by inspirational speeches and  legislation  that had just
been introduced in Congress the previous week, advocates in bright
red t-shirts proclaiming "A Vote for School-Based Health Care is a Vote
for a Healthier America" stormed the hill for over 160 Congressional visits.
