Arizona Health Center Wins $540,000 Grant
The Mariposa Community Health Center in Nogales received a three-year grant to expand the Santa Cruz County Adolescent Wellness Network. “This grant will pay for itself many times over by preventing illnesses, improving decision-making and setting our young people on paths to healthier lives,” Rep. School Leaders Work to Improve Health Centers
As part of national School-Based Health Centers Awareness Month, a Maryland congressman John Sarbanes checked in at a local school to see what could be improved when it comes to student health. “This is where, five days a week, we have our children. A new health clinic serving students, faculty and community members at River View High School in Bluefield, WV, is slated to open in March. … “One of the big advantages is the care it provides for students,” said Brenda Goodman, will head up medical services as the clinic’s nurse practitioner. “It will reduce absenteeism.
