February is a great time to celebrate our successes. We encourage you to put a voice and face to your SBHCs with videos, poems, photos and stories. You could even win $200! The theme for the 2012 SBHC Awareness Month is “Sharing Our Stories.”
The National Assembly on School-Based Health Care (NASBHC) has a variety of resources to help school-based health centers plan events throughout February. There is also a story-telling contest with cash prizes. Everyone who submits a story will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win $100. And winners in each category will win $200.
To participate, submit a story about school-based health care – either a written narrative or a video – by February 20. Learn more at www.nasbhc.org/storycontest.
