The webinar will be held on Wednesday, October 8, from 10-11 am PDT.
Students with undiagnosed or untreated mental health issues rank among the most pressing concerns in schools across California, directly impacting student attendance, behavior, and readiness to learn. Learn how seven California counties are collaborating across agencies and organizations to provide school-linked mental health services to young people.
This webinar will describe the findings from a year-long project between the California School-Based Health Alliance and Fight Crime: Invest in Kids California highlighted in their new toolkit, Connecting Students to Mental Health Services. The toolkit explores the ways in which seven counties are working collaboratively to provide school-linked mental health services, share financial resources to pay for these services, and address local issues such as truancy or recidivism by increasing access to mental health services for students. We will provide an overview of the toolkit and case studies plus take an in-depth look at San Bernardino County’s efforts with Dr. Ron Powell, Administrator of the Desert/Mountain SELPA.
